MARIONETTE LINES
Marionette lines are the shadows that start from the corners of the mouth and runs down towards the jawline, and either sides of the chin. They look like the lines on marionette dolls and hence are often described as marionette lines. Loss of skin collagen and loss of mid face volume causes the skin on the face to descend down towards the jaw. This results in the formation of jowls and marionette lines.
Marionette lines can be treated in a number of ways including dermal fillers, mini-threads and thread lifts . Dermal fillers are the most popular way to treat this area. By injecting into the areas between the chin, jawline, and corners of the mouth allows us to support and reduce the appearance of ‘marionette shadows’.
